About Slip Report

Slip Report reads the day’s marina and boatyard news so you do not have to. Each weekday an editor goes through announcements, filings, regulator notices and reporting from around the world, picks what matters, and writes it up in our own words. Every item says why it matters and links to whoever reported it first.

Every Monday morning the best of the week arrives in one email, The Windward Brief. It is written for marina owners and operators, boatyard managers, dockmasters and the businesses that supply them.

Where we cover

A marina’s costs and rules differ by province, state and country: insurance requirements, dredging permits, shoreline construction standards and season length all vary by jurisdiction. Canada has its own section at /region/canada/, and every story says which side’s rules apply.
